Who and What:

This website was created for musicians practicing alone at home. I've recently discovered the joys of JackTrip Virtual Studio and am playing in-time, virtually, with my friends. My students and I are working to create an app to connect musicians with similar devices so that musicians can find each other and play together. Who and What:

This website is for wind musicians: trumpet, flute, etc. who want to play with other people, anywhere, anytime. The goal would be to have a perfect, virtual band practice, but, we're not there yet. Until then, we hope you enjoy what we have here.

How it works:

You'll need to obtain the sheet music for your instrument (we'll show you how), then join us as we play together. Use your device and a speaker, or headphones, to play along with our favorite songs.

The Layout:

If you are one of my students, you should have the sheet music. If you need to purchase the music, I have added links to (2) sellers:

JWPepper.com and SheetMusicPlus.com I do not make any $ from your purchase of music, I'm just showing you where to get it. At JW Pepper, scroll down to the "order extra parts" button and find your part, $3-$4 each.

You might also be able to search online for an different source for your part:. Example: "Best Song Ever arr. Emily Doe trumpet pdf sheet music". Make sure you add the arranger's name or your sheet music won't match the recording.

Many pieces are also available as instant e-prints for $3-$4.

4 different Levels of play:

Music is rated by level. 0 is beginning and 5 is the most difficult.

Here are our levels:

Beginning: music at level 0-0.5

Intermediate: music at level 0.5-1.5

Advanced: music at level 2.0-4.0

For our very beginning students:

My classes use "Standards of Excellence: Book 1" by Bruce Pearson, available at pepper or sheetmusicplus or any number of book stores. Make sure you have the book for your instrument (flute, clarinet, trumpet, etc.) It should cost $10. You do not need the "enhanced" edition.
